This morning is -15....ya that's 15 degrees BELOW zero. The wind is not very strong (thank goodness) but the wind chill is about 32 below. It does look "promising" though. The temp on Friday should be in the 30's and next week we should see 40's....IF the weatherman can be believed.
Dude went with me to Wayne yesterday to her chiropractor. I am becoming less tolerant of the pain in my back - so just thought I'd see if she (Dr. Herman) thought she would be able to help me. She also does acupuncture and I've wondered for a long time if that would help. I've also been having a lot of pain in my neck - so she worked on that, too. I felt pretty good when I got out of there - we picked up pizza at Pizza Hut - and I ate with them. I really dreaded going out again - because their thermometer was showing -3 at that time - but I braved the cold.
Coming out of the garage, I stepped down on the cement block that serves as a step for the time being - put my cane on the ground.....RIGHT ON ICE....so of course it slipped, and I fell. I managed to get up and figured my right shin would be scraped & bleeding. To my surprise it was not, but it was hurting. It hurt all thru the night - and I am pretty miserable this morning. It throbs from my knee clear to my toes. My fingers on the right hand are also pretty sore - am not able to close my fingers easily. DANG!!!!!
I'm going to try to "tough it out", hoping it's just bruised. No swelling - so pretty sure nothing is broken.
I have to go back to Dr. Herman on Saturday morning. Dude & I will be stopping there - on our way to Omaha. We're meeting Patti. Well, actually we're going to meet her in Fremont, I think. Betty is "between trips". They just got home from Key West and will be leaving on the 25th for Hawaii. Will be great to have all 4 of us together again.
No other news....but to those it affects.....TRY TO STAY WARM!!!! LOL

I wondered if you were out of bed yet....teehee didn't want to bother you if you were still sleeping but was wondering how you were feeling this morning. Guess I will call and pester you.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I am so sorry to hear about your fall. That is not good. Especially after just seeing the chiropractor. Gee I thought the 12 degrees when I left home this morning was bad. I'll take that over -15. So what time do you think you will get to Fremont? I need to talk to Roy to find out what time I can get my stuff. Well I better get busy. I have a lot to do before tomorrow morning.
