We started home on Monday, the day after Easter.
On the previous Thursday, there were terrible fires in Oklahoma and North Texas. When we went out of the house....you could "smell" the smoke - and the sky was hazy. The interestate that I travel was closed for a while, because the smoke was so bad. That would be soooo scary to have fires like that so close.
I pulled off the interstate to take these pictures, showing the black fields. I thought it was worth a couple pictures.

So now we're home....or at least we were until Saturday, when we traveled to Lincoln to help our baby sister celebrate her 50th birthday. Posting on that to come....
Oh boy, I can hardly wait for the next post. Let's forget that I'm 50.
ReplyDeleteScary! I mean the fires...not that Patti is 50. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteNo it is scary that I am 50! I can still remember when Dixie turned 30 and I thought that was old! After this year I will have 2 kids that are in the 30's. Life goes by way to fast.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Patti! That is what my mom says too. I will be 46 in about a week, and she still can't believe I am that old. Well, actually, neither can I...sigh. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI finally got on your blog. Have no idea what a blog is, but here I am! Patti, I bet your sister Dixie and I wish we were 50 again. Have a great year!

ReplyDeleteWell, you didn't waste any time getting on here and finding that, Dude.
