This is the view from the kitchen .... the porch to the outside door....BEFORE. Notice the really UGLY curtain on the door. The whole porch had those curtains - but I put up bamboo roman shades. Just not on the door.
And here we have the same view....of the new door. Notice the wood around the door needs to be painted. LOL!
And here is the outside of the back porch. There was that icky door with the curtain AND a really tacky screen door.
Here's the new door today. I did not put a new storm/screen door on. May want to consider it later....especially when there's a nice South breeze. We'll see.....
This is what the door between the kitchen & porch looked like. OMG!!!! It was so ugly and since I was going to put on a new door, Sindee didn't bother to paint it. Lived with the danged thing all winter. Oh, well. And look....the hinge pins don't even go all the way down in the thingees.

They look GOOD! It is so amazing how a door can change the look of a room, or the outside of a house.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't get too excited yet about a screen door...up here on the hill, we never get south breezes. We get south GALE FORCE winds! Bwahaha!
Yeah, think carefully about that Dixie, Sheila is right. But whatever works for you!!
ReplyDeleteCaught a glimpse of the countertop and floor, I LIKE!!!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks really good. I can't wait to see the rest of the kitchen. Oh, and I really like your dining room table and chairs, they really go well with the woodwork. I can't wait to see them in person. (July, while Cory is at band camp.
ReplyDeleteI did notice one thing that ugly old fashion wall phone next to the door. Is that one of those phones you haft to crank.
ReplyDeleteI loved the pictures but Rick' comment got me laughing so hard that I got all choked up.
ReplyDeleteThat's NOT an old fashion crank phone. It has push buttons.....but at least it is connected to a land line, so if the electricity goes out, I'll still have access to the outside world. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHey Rick, we took the crank phone down so it looks like we are really uptown people instead of the hicks that Nebraskans are, you know the ones with the wooden streets. teehee
ReplyDeleteMy sides hurt from all that laughing give me a break it still hurts when I laugh, but its getting better than it was.
