Graduation Day

We didn't get up "too" early...since it was so late when we went to bed.

Casey recombed Rox's hair...after she had done it for her on Friday...and a very good job, I might add. Then she put on Rox's makeup. Just HAD to document that!

Rox had to leave for the school early - since she is one of the Senior Class Sponsors. But Nick & I managed to document Casey leaving for the school. Here she is...putting her cap & gown in her car.
Then we HAD to make her stand by the basketball pole. That's where Rox always took the kids' pictures on the first day of school. She was looking so pretty. Was very surprised that she wore the same dress from the night before party. She said it was very comfortable...and besides, no one was going to see it under her gown.

My picture of the whole class after they got on the stage did not turn out so good. And "somehow" I missed her totally, as they were walking in. So - here she is, right after they sat down and the "Welcome" was given by 2 of her classmates. (she looks sad...well, maybe just serious)
Here she is receiving her diploma....Looks a little happier, now. Here's her friend, Brittany, receiving her diploma from her Dad, a member of the school board. That is always so emotional when a parent can present the diploma. Congratulations, Brit!!!
And Jake...receiving his diploma. Such a good looking kid and a great influence on Casey. Good luck to BOTH of you at UNK!!!

Oh, this was the part that I was "dreading". When the graduates present flowers to parents, grandparents, or any other important person in their lives. I KNEW this would happen...Rox changed from a class sponsor to a MOM and the TEARS flowed!

We took some pictures in the lobby - after the ceremony, the receiving line, and tossing their caps in the air. Rox captured most of those pictures....and she has them posted on her Facebook. But here are the happy brother & sister.

I can think of all kinds of pictures that I should have taken....but the time slipped by - when I got involved in what was going on.
Next step......College graduation!!!??????!
